A prompt repository is a real Git repository that stores prompts and PML files as source code. You branch, review, merge, and deploy them with the same workflow as application code. Every save becomes a version backed by a commit, which makes prompts auditable and reversible.

Why it matters

Prompts change constantly and affect production quality. Without version control, a prompt change is an untracked, unreviewable deployment.

How it works

Prompts and PML files live in a real Git repository. You branch, review, and merge like any code, and a merge to the deploy branch pushes the change to the edge. Every save becomes a version backed by a commit.

Example

Open a pull request that edits deploy/support.pml, get it reviewed, and merging it deploys the new prompt to production.
