Billing & Credits

Infere uses a prepaid, credit-based billing system. Purchase credits upfront with a card via Stripe, and credits are deducted automatically as your API tokens make requests. Credits are prepaid and never expire, and you pay your provider's per-token rates with no Infere markup. Balances are tracked at high precision and displayed to 5 decimal places.

Credit Status Levels

  • Normal - sufficient credit balance
  • Warning - balance getting low (≤ 20% of your credit limit)
  • Critical - balance very low (≤ 5%) or zero
  • No Credit - no usable credit remains; requests are blocked

Billing Features

  • Auto-recharge - automatically purchases credits when your balance drops below a threshold ($25 default), with daily and monthly limits as a safety net.
  • Personal & organization balances - org balances are consumed first for org tokens; the remainder falls through to the owner's personal balance.
  • Invoices - a payment record per purchase, with PDF receipts for card payments.
  • Cost analysis - the Dashboard Cost tab breaks down spend by model, provider, and user, with trends and exports.
  • Per-token budgets - cap spending per token independently of the overall balance.

Billing lives in Settings → Billing (Overview, Credits, Payment, Usage, and Invoices tabs). All payments are processed by Stripe - card details never touch Infere's servers.
